Keep your raincoats closed this week

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Another day of widespread showers and storms is possible across South Georgia and the Big Bend.

Keep raincoats and umbrellas handy as there is a chance of frequent thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening through the end of the week.

Before the showers develop, we can expect a warm, humid afternoon with temperatures expected to rise to over 35 degrees Celsius and low triple digits.

Temperatures will be around 30 to 32 degrees Celsius all week, but before there is a chance of rain and showers, it will still feel a lot warmer.

Due to the extra moisture in the air, storms can cause local as well as widespread showers and thunderstorms.

It will rain more often on Wednesday and Thursday, but showers and thunderstorms are also forecast for the next 7 days in the afternoon.
