Scattered rain and possible thunderstorms – NBC Boston

The unstable weather pattern has now stabilised with scattered rain chances through Thursday.

Humidity has also increased here, while temperatures will remain around 21 degrees Celsius for most people until Wednesday, thanks to an onshore current.

A stationary front just south of New England will bring us waves of showers and a few thunderstorms Tuesday and Wednesday.

Although we will see some sunny moments on Tuesday, showers will develop again this afternoon, especially inland. And there may be a thunderstorm between 2:00 and 8:00 PM, with some heavy rain and lightning.

Highs will remain in the 70s Tuesday as we get a northeasterly flow, cooler coast. An area of ​​low pressure will move across southern New England tonight into Wednesday, bringing more heavy rain to the south coast, Cape & Islands through Wednesday.

Northern Massachusetts is not expected to get much rain, nor is northern New England expected to get much rain, as the low pressure area is sharply defined to the north. Highs will remain in the 70s again.

A cold front is coming in on Thursday. Before that front arrives, our temperatures will rise due to a southerly gust. We will be back in the 80s for highs and higher dew points.

On Thursday there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with a small chance of extreme weather.

Then we have a great period of dry weather ahead of us. The humidity will be gone for a few days and won’t pick up again until next Monday. High temperatures will reach the mid to high 80s on Friday and Saturday with full sun.

Temperatures will be around 32 degrees on Sunday through much of next week. Humidity will return on Monday, and rain will increase on Tuesday through the end of the 10-day period.
