Man killed in Baton Rouge truck crash on I-10 east admitted | Crime/Police

Baton Rouge police have identified the man who died Monday in a crash on Interstate 10 east when the truck he was driving struck a guardrail near the Highland Road exit.

Jamoliddin Tokhirov, 38, was driving a 2022 Freightliner tractor-trailer eastbound on I-10 when, for unknown reasons, it struck the inside of the concrete guardrail, crossed all lanes of traffic and struck first the inside of the concrete guardrail and then the outside of the guardrail, police said in a news release.

The vehicle came to rest on the top of the outer guardrail. Tokhirov was thrown from the vehicle.

Police say the accident is still under investigation.
