US Governor Says ‘I’m An Iron Sheik Fan’ After Hulk Hogan’s Trump Endorsement

Governor Gretchen Whitmer has admitted to being a big fan of the Iron Sheik following Hulk Hogan’s endorsement of Donald Trump.

The two-time Hall of Famer endorsed the former President during the Republican National Convention which also saw an appearance by fellow inductee Kid Rock.

When Governor Whitmer was asked about Hogan’s appearance, she said she is a fan of The Iron Sheik, believing him to be from Lansing, Michigan.

While the original Sheik was indeed from Lansing, the Iron Sheik was from Iran.

Whitmer is the 49th governor of Michigan and has served in the role since 2019. She was reelected as governor in 2022, defeating Republican nominee Tudor Dixon.

In 2020, Whitmer was the target of an attempted kidnapping plot. 14 members of the ‘Wolverine Watchmen’ were charged with nine being found or accused guilty.

Barry Croft received 19 years and 7 months in prison for his role in the plot. He had claimed he had been granted permission by God to commit murder.

Croft had previously called investigations into Donald Trump an unfair “uprising.” Trump later claimed without evidence that the plot to kidnap Whitmer was fake.
