The Denver Broncos have had a number of chances against them this season.

They currently find themselves in a division with Patrick Mahomes and the Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs, as well as Jim Harbaugh, Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers.

In the AFC as a whole, teams like the Baltimore Ravens, Houston Texans, New York Jets, Cincinnati Bengals and others could also be real playoff contenders.

So, this Broncos team could be in for a tough 2024 season.

However, Broncos head coach Sean Payton is unfazed by the negative opinions about his team from outside.

“I don’t have time to spend time on that… None of that means anything… We’re going to get ready to play. We expect to compete. We expect to win,” Payton recently told Denver media.

This is the mentality all coaches must have if they want to be successful in the NFL.

Payton is a Super Bowl-winning head coach with nearly 170 total NFL victories to his credit (including the playoffs).

He has coached Hall of Fame players and many great teams in his nearly 20 years as an NFL head coach.

What people write about his team doesn’t matter to him, because it happens outside the team.

All he’s focused on is making sure the Denver Broncos are better than they were a year ago.

Only time will tell if the team can surprise those outside the building and potentially contend for the playoffs, something the team hasn’t been able to do since winning the Super Bowl in 2015 with Peyton Manning.
