“The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition”

All-of-Us Express Children’s Theatre presents its final production of the season, “The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition,” Friday through Sunday (July 26-28) and August 2-4 at the Hannah Community Center in East Lansing. Friday shows are at 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday shows are at 3 p.m.

“When the residents of Bikini Bottom discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob and his friends must band together to save the fate of their undersea world. With lives hanging in the balance and all hope lost, a most unexpected hero emerges,” reads a plot summary on the theater company’s Facebook page.

An opening reception will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the community center, with refreshments, games for children and a chance to meet the All-of-Us Express staff. Those interested are asked to register via the link under the “Latest News” section of the theater company’s website (allofusexpress.org) by the end of today (July 24).
