Green Line Train Hits Deadly Pedestrian in St. Paul

A pedestrian died Tuesday after being struck by a light rail train in St. Paul.

The collision with a westbound Green Line train near Syndicate Street happened shortly after 3:30 p.m., Metro Transit police said. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Metro Transit Police are investigating.

Buses continued to replace trains between the Green Line Fairview and Western Avenue stations beginning at 4:30 p.m.
