Jefferson City sex offender charged with federal child pornography charges

JEFFERSON CITY, MO (KMIZ)

A Jefferson City man was charged Tuesday with federal child pornography charges, according to a news release from the Department of Justice.

Howard Dale Speckhals, 61, was charged with possession and distribution of child pornography. He allegedly distributed child pornography over the internet from June 25, 2023, to March 22, 2024. He was allegedly found in possession of child pornography on June 20.

Speckhals has previously been convicted of first-degree sexual misconduct, the press release states.
