I-70 Bridge Repairs Close Two Ramp in KCK

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas Department of Transportation is expected to begin repairs on a portion of Interstate 70 in Kansas City, Kansas, beginning Wednesday, July 24.

The project includes installing new bridge expansion jointsrepairing bridge piers and repairing the bridge deck at I-70/38th Street, Park Drive.


While the work is underway, KDOT will close the 38th Street/Park Drive off-ramp from eastbound I-70 and the 38th Street/Park Drive on-ramp from eastbound I-70.

To reach 38th Street/Park Drive from eastbound I-70, drivers can continue east on I-70 and exit at 18th Street. They can then immediately take the loop to westbound I-70 and continue exiting at 38th Street/Park Drive.

Work will take place Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., weather permitting. The slopes are expected to reopen in late August.

According to KDOT, PCiRoads of St. Michael, Minnesota is the contractor for this $133,000 repair project.
