Man pleads guilty to Half Time Liquors 2022 shooting, two others now face trial

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A man accused in a 2022 shooting outside Half Time Liquors entered a plea Tuesday afternoon, court documents show.

That night, Demario Murray was killed by a barrage of gunfire. Eight others were wounded.

William Thomas pleaded guilty to weapons charges on Tuesday and will be sentenced later this fall.

A trial date was also set today for two other men accused in the shooting, Tamylon Williams and Joseph Walker. They are scheduled to stand trial beginning November 4.

A fourth suspect, De’Arius Cannon, was found guilty of attempted manslaughter last year and is currently serving a 13-year prison sentence.

An FDLE analyst who testified at his trial said more than 80 shell casings were found at the crime scene.
