Person dies in back of Sacramento police car, avoid area

(FOX40.COM) — One person has died after being arrested and placed in the back of a police car in Del Paso Heights on Monday, Sacramento police said.

At around 7 p.m., Jasmine Street was closed due to what police described as “police activity.” Details of the incident are unclear, but officials say the family of the deceased called police to the scene.

At 9:45 p.m. the area is still cordoned off and there is a large police presence on the scene.
