Dover graduate Hunter Armstrong will compete in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, which begin this Friday with the Opening Ceremony at 7:30 p.m. EST.

Armstrong won Olympic gold in 2021, swimming in the semifinals of the 4×100 medley relay. He set a world record in the 50-meter backstroke in 2022.

When will Hunter Armstrong compete in the men’s 4×100-meter freestyle relay?

The preliminary rounds will take place on Saturday, July 27 at 5:00 AM EST. The finals will be played the same day at 3:50 PM.

When will Hunter Armstrong swim the men’s 100-meter backstroke?

The backstroke preliminary rounds will be held on Sunday, July 28 at 5:00 a.m. EST. The top 16 will advance to the semifinals, which will be held the same day at 3:50 p.m. EST.

The top eight will advance to the finals on Monday, July 29 at 3:22pm EST.

Will Hunter Armstrong compete in the men’s 4×100-meter medley relay?

Maybe. That will be decided earlier in the week between Armstrong and Ryan Murphy: Whoever swims the fastest 100-meter backstroke will determine who swims in the preliminaries and finals. The preliminaries of the medley relay are at 5 a.m. EST Saturday, Aug. 3, and the finals are at 1:12 p.m. EST Sunday, Aug. 4.
