USJ announces three new trustees to its board

WEST HARTFORD/FARMINGTON, CT — Two West Hartford residents and one Farmington resident were recently appointed to the Board of Trustees of Saint Joseph’s University.

USJ recently announced the trio, saying they all have “experience that will help inform the board’s decisions.”

The new administrators are Vivian Chow of West Hartford, Keith J. Hubert of Farmington and Sue Keefe, who lives in West Hartford.

Vivian Chow

Chow is a retired vice president of human resources at Travelers, where she was responsible for talent acquisition, calibration, development, organizational planning and management coaching.

Prior to joining Travelers, Chow was vice president of human resources and corporate affairs at the Hartford Courant.

Throughout her professional career, Chow has served on the boards and committees of the YWCA, Camp Courant, Metro Hartford Alliance, and Bushnell Performing Arts Center.

Chow was born and raised in Hong Kong, but came to the United States to attend college. He graduated from the University of Oregon.

She lives in West Hartford and has three adult children and seven grandchildren.

Keith J. Hubert

Keith J. Hubert has been a managing partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)’s Hartford office since 2011.

He leads PwC’s Northeast Insurance Services practice, working closely with large managed care and life insurance companies on investment and retirement products, as well as accounting and financial reporting matters.

He has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Hubert earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from LeMoyne College and is a Certified Public Accountant in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York and Vermont.

He lives in Farmington with his wife and three children who are in college.

Sue Keefe

Keefe has served as an APRN in palliative care at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center since 2001 and as section chief and leader of APRN Palliative Care Services at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center since 2020.

Keefe received her master’s degree in nursing from New York Medical College.

She is an adjunct faculty member at the UConn School of Medicine in the Geriatric Fellowship Program, teaches at the Yale University School of Nursing, and is an adjunct faculty member at the Quinnipiac University Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine.

Keefe lives in West Hartford.
