Lansing man shot in leg early Wednesday morning

LANSING — A Lansing man was shot in the leg early Wednesday morning, Lansing police reported.

The 24-year-old man suffered a graze wound to his leg and was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, LPD spokesman Jordan Gulkis said.

Police were called to 1100 West Allegan Street this morning around 5 a.m. for a report of a shooting, where they found the victim.

Gulkis said the shooting appears to be unrelated to a shooting Tuesday night on Baker Street that left three people injured, two of them seriously.

According to Gulkis, no arrests have been made in connection with the Allegan Street incident and the investigation continues.
