Video surfaces of Hall of Famer Terrell Davis being escorted off plane by FBI agents

Video footage has emerged of professional football player Terrell Davis being led off a United Airlines flight by a man in an FBI jacket.

All of this happens while Davis’ wife, Tamiko, is standing nearby and his children are also nearby.

The two-time Super Bowl champion with the Denver Broncos claims the incident stemmed from an oversensitive flight attendant who reacted inappropriately to his simple request for a cup of ice cream for his son.

“I calmly reached behind me and gently tapped his arm to get his attention and ask him again for a cup of ice for my son,” Davis said.

To which the guard responded by shouting, “Don’t hit me!”

The flight attendant then alerted the rest of the crew, who then alerted authorities.

Terrell Davis taken from plane in handcuffs

The shocking video of Terrell Davis being dragged during a flight from Denver to Orange County, California, has been released by the Super Bowl MVP’s legal team.

It will serve as evidence in preparations for a lawsuit against United Airlines over the incident.

After the plane landed, multiple FBI agents and other law enforcement officers boarded the plane, handcuffed Davis, and removed him from the plane in front of his family and numerous bystanders.

The FBI said they responded to a report of “a violent assault,” but after questioning Davis and others, he was released.

According to United Airlines, the flight attendant was removed from her duties.

“This is clearly not the type of travel experience we strive to provide,” United said in a statement last week. “We have reached out to Mr. Davis’ team to apologize and continue to discuss the matter with them.”

Davis questions flight attendant’s motives

Terrell Davis claims, and the video suggests, that the whole ordeal was quite humiliating.

“I was then taken off the plane, while being filmed by several passengers as I was led off the plane in handcuffs by the officers,” he said.

Davis and his legal team have suggested there was a racial element to the United Airlines flight attendant’s actions, with a statement from his lawyer pointing to “systemic failings” at the airline.

“This video corroborates the heartbreaking story of multiple law enforcement officers, including the FBI, boarding the aircraft and arresting a shocked, terrified, humiliated and compliant Mr. Davis in front of his wife Tamiko, minor children and over 100 passengers,” the statement said.

Davis said in an interview with CNN that he personally felt there was a racist element to the overreaction.

“I definitely felt like that wouldn’t have happened if I was … a white person. That wouldn’t have happened. That’s what I felt. Whether that’s true or not, that’s a different conversation.”
