Cass County crash fatal for 72-year-old Industry woman

VIRGINIA – An Industry woman was killed Monday when her SUV and a pickup truck collided west of Virginia on Illinois Route 125.

Pamela Rittenhouse, 72, of Industry died around 12:25 a.m. Monday after Illinois State Police reported that a pickup truck driven by Linda Hager, 70, of Beardstown crossed the center line of the highway at Shiloh Road in Cass County.

A passenger in Rittenhouse’s vehicle, a 57-year-old woman from Macomb, was treated for minor injuries, state police said. Both women were thrown from the SUV.

Hager and her 15-year-old daughter, who was traveling as a passenger, were also treated for minor injuries.

According to state police, Hager was ticketed for improper lane usage.
