Jefferson City Police Arrest Michigan Man After Shots Fired

JEFFERSON CITY, MO (KMIZ)

Police have arrested a Michigan man and a Jefferson City man after at least one shot was fired during a fight Thursday afternoon.

Officers were called to the 200 block of Dawson Street for a fight just before 2 p.m., Jefferson City police said in a news release. Police determined a 25-year-old Michigan man had fired shots after finding a fired bullet in front of a home.

According to the press release, investigators also found the weapon used in a home.

The Michigan man was arrested on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon and tampering with evidence. Officers also arrested a 27-year-old Jefferson City man on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

The men’s names were not released and information about their charges was not available in online court records Friday morning.
