Here is a list of the first day of school in York County

Sorry kids, but summer is almost halfway over and it’s that time of year again. It’s time to go back to school.

School supplies are already appearing on store shelves. Teachers are finishing up their curriculums or decorating their classrooms. Bus routes should be figured out in the coming weeks.

Here is a list of the first days of schools in the region:

York Academy students start school on August 12th.

The first day of school in West York for Kindergarten, Second, Fourth, Sixth, and Ninth Grades is August 15th. All other grades begin on August 16th.

Dover Area kindergarten, sixth, ninth and twelfth graders will return to school on August 19. All other grades will return on August 20.

The first day of school at Red Lion is on August 19th. School ends early that day and on August 20th.

York City’s Grades 1-9 students return on August 19. Preschool, Kindergarten, and Grades 10-12 return on August 20. School ends at 3 p.m. on both days.

The first day for South Western students is August 20th.

The first day of school in Southern York County for kindergarten through ninth grade is August 20, with all other grades starting on August 21.

York County School of Technology’s new students begin on August 20th and all other students begin on August 21st.

The first day of school at Central York for all students is August 21.

Spring Grove’s Kindergarten, Fifth, Seventh, and Ninth Grades begin school on August 21. The following day is the first day of school for all students.

The first day of school for 7th-9th graders in Dallastown is August 21st. The first day of school for 1st-12th graders is August 22nd, and kindergarten begins August 28th.

The first day of school for Northeastern students is August 21.

The first day of school at York Suburban is also on August 21st for all students.

The first day of Hanover Public is August 21st.

The first day of school for grade 7 students is August 21 at York Catholic. Grades 8 through 12 students must report back to school on August 22.

Students from South Eastern will return on August 22.

The first day of school at Eastern York is August 22nd.

West Shore’s first day is Sept. 3. The district also said it will likely start again in August in the future. But this year, it had to delay the start because staff needed more time to move resources and give families time to transition to the two new intermediate schools.

The first day of Northern York County is September 3.
