New Psychiatrist Joins Community: Dr. Rhodelynn Ramos Named Medical Director at Klamath Basin Behavioral Health


July 25, 2024, KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – After a nationwide search, KBBH is pleased to welcome Dr. Ramos, a highly regarded psychiatrist, to our behavioral health community. With an impressive resume spanning more than two decades of experience in a variety of psychiatric settings, Dr. Ramos will have a significant impact on mental health care in our area.

Dr. Ramos brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her previous roles at leading institutions such as the Hawaii State Hospital and Community Mental Health Centers – branches of the State of Hawaii Department of Health, the Veterans Affairs Health Care System in California and the Pacific Islands, the Philadelphia Prisons System, and the Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons in Honolulu and Washington, D.C.

Her extensive background includes providing psychiatric services in community psychiatric clinics, managing inpatient units, implementing and coordinating nationwide telepsychiatry services, and providing integrated health care in a collaborative setting. She has a proven track record of delivering world-class psychiatric services, managing interdisciplinary teams, and advocating for the mental well-being of her patients.

Dr. Ramos is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and holds medical licenses in Hawaii, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Oregon. Her dedication to excellence in psychiatric care is further exemplified by numerous awards, including Warden Letters of Commendation from the Federal Detention Center in Honolulu.
