Hartford bust leads to 32 arrests, seizure of dozens of guns, thousands of fentanyl bags

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) – A week of city-wide drug bust operations led to dozens of arrests.

Hartford police announced on Friday that they arrested 32 people and served 11 search warrants in their city.

They said they targeted areas that were under investigation as a result of citizen complaints of narcotic and quality of life issues.

Detectives worked for several weeks, conducted surveillance, and developed probable causes for search warrants.

An FBI Task Force, DEA Task Force, Connecticut State Police Task Force, FBI Human Trafficking Unit, Hartford Police Street Crimes Unit, and other agencies helped during the week.

Fourteen arrest warrants were served, $23,240 was seized, 24 firearms were seized, including several rifles and ghost rifles, 156 grams of fentanyl, 2,875 bags of fentanyl, 500 fentanyl pills, 11 grams of cocaine, 188 grams of crack cocaine, 16 grams of MDMA, 14 pounds of marijuana, and 166 OxyContin pills.
