Humid temperatures and storms likely to increase again this weekend – Indianapolis News | Indiana Weather | Indiana Traffic

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We stayed the course with a nice Friday in central Indiana. The warmer and more humid air mass stayed more in southern Indiana today.

Don’t expect to be without unstable weather for much longer, as the last days of July will see a less pleasant and active weather pattern again.

Friday night: Another cool and mostly clear night is in store for us, with lows looking set to drop into the mid 50s to low 60s.

Saturday: After the onset of our Saturday cool, we will warm up to the mid 80s with a return to noticeably humid conditions. Cloud cover will also increase in part during the second half of Saturday, and this will be well before our next chance for rain.

Sunday: We start Sunday with much more cloud cover than Saturday. Showers will also be widespread throughout the morning hours. Activity will be on/off and scattered throughout the afternoon and overnight hours. There will also be some heavier downpours in the mix with a few storms possible.

Highs will reach the mid 80s. Humidity will continue to weigh on us on Sunday with miserable dew point values around 70 expected.

7 day forecast: The miserable humidity is expected to continue for much of next week. We will also be tracking daily storm chances through the end of July next Wednesday, and we could even talk about the potential for storm clusters. This is what we had almost two weeks ago, on July 14th and 15th, and they are rolling around a hot dome of a building that will cause us to reach nearly 90 degrees by the end of July.
