Celine Dion makes emotional comeback with stunning performance at Summer Olympics opening ceremony

The opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris was something else. Some would call it bombastic. But no one watching or attending the event would say the same about Celine Dion and her performance.

Four years after she last took the stage after being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, the multiple Grammy Award winner has stunned the world.

Her cover of Edith Piaf’s “Hymn to Love” was absolutely masterful. There really is no other way to say it.

As you can see, Dion held back tears as she sang the legendary song. The fact that this performance took place on the Eiffel Tower only adds to the scene. It’s hard to imagine a better performance with a backdrop like this on the world stage.

It seems the 56-year-old superstar is doing much better. Earlier this week, Dion announced a Las Vegas residency. That will be a sight to behold, too.

But for now, the focus is on the amazing performance she delivered on Friday while representing Canada in Paris.
