The Phoenix Fire Department was still searching for a man on Friday who went missing after the collapse of a Phoenix warehouse during a storm.

At about 3:30 p.m., Capt. Todd Keller confirmed the Fire Department was still conducting rescue efforts and that the search remained ongoing.

So far, about 50,000 pounds of concrete and debris were removed during the search operations, according to Keller.

It was unknown whether the man was alive, so fire crews used rescue dogs to try to detect the presence of a person.

On Thursday about 4 a.m., firefighters began a search for the man after a microburst lifted and partially destroyed the roof of Freeport Logistics in west Phoenix on Wednesday night.
