Pack adds three transfers for 2025 campaign

RENO, Nevada – Head coach Victoria Hayward announces the additions of pitchers Jessica McPartland and Tess Bumiller, and outfielder Lexi O’Gorman.

McPartland and Bumiller join Hailey McLean to round out the transfer pitching class. The bolstered pitching staff will bring Pack experience to the circle after returning 20 career innings pitched from the 2024 roster.

O’Gorman will join an outfield that features both Madison and Bailie Clarkin addition to the seniority of Tatum Maytorena.

Jessica McPartland / Jackson, Calif. / Sierra College / Right-handed pitcher / Sophomore
McPartland joins the Pack after one season with the Sierra Wolverines in Rocklin, Calif. The Jackson, Calif. native appeared in 34 games, making 25 starts and throwing 164.1 innings. McPartland struck out 173 batters and allowed just 128 hits for a 2.39 ERA. The 5’8″ right-handed pitcher threw a no-hitter in the team’s 7-0 win over Folsom Lake, striking out eight.

McPartland attended Amador High School in Sutter Creek, where she posted a 3.21 ERA and struck out 167 batters her senior year.

Tess Bumiller / Redmond, Wash. / Utah State / Right-handed pitcher / Junior
Bumiller comes to Nevada with two years of eligibility after a pair of seasons at Utah State. Bumiller has played in 54 games for the Aggies, totaling 114.1 innings in the circle. Bumiller struck out 56 batters and threw a complete game during her two years in Logan. Bumiller was named Mountain West Freshman of the Week on May 2, 2023.

Bumiller is originally from Redmond, Washington, and attended The Bear Creek School. He won a KingCo League championship.

Lexi O’Gorman / San Carlos, California / UC San Diego / Outfielder / Sophomore
O’Gorman transfers after one season at UC San Diego, giving her three years of eligibility remaining. O’Gorman played and started in 48 games for UC San Diego, posting a .314 batting average in 153 plate appearances. She collected 48 hits, including six doubles and a triple, and posted a nine-game hitting streak. O’Gorman walked four and struck out just 14 times, for a strikeout percentage of 8.5%. O’Gorman was named to the 2024 All-Big West Freshman Team. O’Gorman was also named Big West Freshman of the Week on February 12, 2024.

O’Gorman attended Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California. At Saint Francis, O’Gorman was a varsity player for three years, with a batting average above .440 in all three seasons.
