Report: Beth Phoenix No Longer Under Contract With WWE

PWInsider has reported that Beth Phoenix is ​​no longer under contract with WWE.

The WWE Hall of Famer last competed in February 2023, as part of a series of matches she has competed in on and off since her retirement in 2012.

Phoenix was primarily active as a commentator for NXT from 2019 to 2021. She also appeared in the women’s Royal Rumble matches in 2018 and 2020, as well as a series of tag matches. In 2022, she teamed with her husband Adam Copeland in two mixed tag team matches.

Copeland, also a WWE Hall of Famer who competed for the company as Edge, has since signed with AEW, though he is currently injured following his match at Double Or Nothing 2024.

After making his AEW debut last year, Copeland responded to a question about teaming with Phoenix in the near future:

I mean, every time I get close to Beth, I get super excited about it, of course. I don’t know if that’s going to be possible in the near future, but I love being with her, that’s for sure.
