Mary Alice Fitzgibbon-Burnett Obituary | The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

Mary Alice Fitzgibbon-Burnett passed away peacefully on July 24, 2024 in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born on January 5, 1926 in DeWitt, Ark., the daughter of her late parents, Samuel Lee and Florence Childers Leslie. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Raymond Fitzgibbon; husband, Don Burnett; and her sister, Joyce Birdsong. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Stroud and husband, Rick; two sisters, Pat Peterson and Leta Honea Harness; stepdaughter, Donna Myers; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was an administrative assistant at Workforce for many years. She loved to travel and was proud to have visited 49 states. Additionally, she enjoyed hosting parties, garden club, and her nickname was Sweet Alice. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Pinecrest Memorial Park with Reverend Heather Rose officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Heifer International or Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville.
