Taylor Pendrith leads after round two of the 2024 3M Open

Taylor Pendrith of Richmond Hill, Ontario leads after the second round of the 3M Open in Blaine, Minnesota on Friday. Pendrith is looking for his second victory of the season, having previously won the CJ Cup Byron Nelson in Dallas, Texas on May 5.

Pendrith is currently at -12. He is two strokes ahead of American Matt NeSmith of North Augusta, South Carolina, and Americans Andrew Putnam of Tacoma, Washington, and Jacob Bridgeman of Inman, South Carolina, by three strokes. NeSmith is at -10 and Putnam and Bridgeman are at -9.

In the first round, Pendrith had three birdies and one eagle for a score of five under par. He birdied the second, 12th and 15th holes and eagled the 18th. In the second round, Pendrith had seven birdies and no bogeys. He birdied the fourth, seventh, 10th, 12th, 15th, 16th and 18th holes.

Pendrith is one of two Canadian golfers competing in a prestigious event this week. The other is Stephen Ames of Vancouver, British Columbia. In the British Senior Open, Ames is -4, just two strokes behind the leader after round two. The leader is South Korean KJ Choi at -6. Ames is seeking his first major title on the Champions Tour.
