Legacy Motor Club releases crew members of #84

Jimmie Johnson gets new crew chief for remaining races in 2024

Jimmie Johnson is a 7-time NASCAR Cup Series champion. He retired from full-time racing after the 2022 season and became a team owner through Legacy Motor Club.

Johnson is scheduled to run nine races in the 2024 season, completing six of those races with a best finish of 28th, which he claimed twice through Dover and Daytona.

Now Legacy Motor Club is making changes to the No. 84 team. Crew chief Jason Burdett has been fired from the team in front of other crew members.

Johnson still plans to run the remaining three races that were previously scheduled, which are Kansas Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Phoenix Raceway.

At the start of the 2024 season, Legacy made the switch from Chevrolet to Toyota.
