What Chelsea Clinton Looks Like Without Makeup

Chelsea Clinton isn’t one to post a bunch of makeup-free selfies on social media. While the daughter of Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton has public pages on X (formerly known as Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram, she usually posts photos of herself after a bit of time in the hair and makeup chair. And that’s understandable, considering the barrage of insults and criticism Chelsea has received from trolls for decades.

But this is a woman who knows how to hit back — especially when people make ridiculous comments about her appearance. After an X-troll told Chelsea in 2018 that she looked like the child of a horse and a donkey, responded“Donkeys are known for their independence, intelligence and perseverance and horses for their speed, acumen and memory. I am flattered by the compliment, thank you!”

With such unwavering confidence, it’s no surprise that Chelsea — who’s undergone quite the transformation — looks absolutely stunning without makeup. She’s got glowing skin, no dark circles under her eyes, and brows to die for. And we know this, because she’s been spotted out and about without any makeup on more than one occasion.

Chelsea Clinton ditched her makeup while doing charity work

In 2015, we saw Chelsea Clinton leave her makeup in the drawer to do her part for others. Chelsea went makeup-free for the Clinton Foundation’s Day of Action in 2015, a charity event she organizes to give back to communities across the US. In a very rare makeup-free photo that was XHer foundation-free skin was glowing and she had a bit of natural pink on her cheeks. She had no dark circles around her eyes (thankfully!) and she impressed with her enviable natural eyebrows, which made her look super young. The star flashed a big smile as she posed with another Little Rock native, keeping it casual in a navy zip-up hoodie, blue jeans and black lace-up boots, with her long hair down. It’s clear from the photo that she’s naturally stunning, despite Chelsea’s ongoing plastic surgery rumors.

A lot of the reason she felt confident ditching her cosmetics in public that day comes from her upbringing. Chelsea credits her mother, Hillary Clinton, for building her confidence. “I give my mom — and my dad, but mostly my mom — a lot of credit for the self-esteem that I had (when I was younger) and focusing on health and how I felt about myself and not what other people were saying to me, or what messages were coming from people or Cosmo,” Chelsea shared on “The view” until 2022.

She was photographed without makeup in New York City

On a cold day in New York City in 2016, Chelsea Clinton was photographed by the paparazzi without makeup. Chelsea looked flushed and her lips appeared slightly chapped as she showed off her gorgeous and recognizable natural skin texture. She was wrapped in a dark coat with a faux fur hood and a light scarf. The author was accompanied by her husband Marc Mezvinsky and their daughter Charlotte.

Chelsea is nothing new to having her photo taken, or her appearance scrutinized. Luckily, mentorship from Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton helped her navigate inappropriate comments. “That helped me protect myself when I was 12, 13 and my dad was running for office and there were all these older white men commenting on my looks, my weight, my appearance,” she explained on “The View.” “I thought, ‘Well, that’s about them, that’s not about me.'” And that’s something Chelsea teaches her own daughter.

In 2018, speaking to Quartz, she shared an important conversation she often has with Charlotte. “She’ll say to me, ‘Mom, I look so beautiful today.’ And I’m like, ‘You look so beautiful today, Charlotte, and what’s more important than being beautiful?’ And she’ll be like, ‘Be brave,'” Chelsea said. “That’s right. Being brave is more important than being beautiful.” And we couldn’t agree more.
