The Kansas City Blues of Cub Tracks

WELCOME to today’s episode of Cub Tracks News & Notes™a greatest hits collection of Chicago style writers and bloggers beat, ground from #Cubs#MiLBAnd #MLB baseball, overheated, soaked in tears of writersand then cold brewed at night for maximum flavor. No artificial intelligences were employed, used, enchanted, or embalmed in the commissioning of this manuscript (apparently i could be a little training although). Tracks of cubs is eagerly awaiting the arrival of robot referees and has already amended the three laws. It’s a strange story. Tracks of cubs turned pro a long time ago.

Tracks of cubs. Where the big ones run away.

After a much-needed day off, the Cubs headed to Kansas City for the weekend. In between visits to rib palaces (I’m a Joe’s guy), they proposed playing three games against the local team. The first game featured Kyle Hendricks (2-8, 6.69), the Professor, trying to keep the Cubs’ (49-55) playoff hopes alive, and Brady Singer (6-6, 3.00), looking to seed more wins for the potentially playoff-bound Royals (56-47).

Christian Bethancourt has been added to the active roster. He will replace Miguel Amaya, whose bat has undergone something of a renaissance recently. Tomás Nido sprained his right knee — we don’t yet know how bad or how long he’ll be out. Bethancourt is 32 years old. He’s holding on to a spot.

I don’t want to talk about the rest. This is just sad.
