49ers sign wide receiver; let CB Kemon Hall go

The San Francisco 49ers announced today that they have signed WR Frank Darby to a one-year deal. In order to make room on the roster, the team has released CB Kemon Hall.

Darby (6-1, 200) was originally drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the sixth round (187th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft. Over his three-year NFL career with the Falcons (2021-23), he has appeared in 16 games and recorded two receptions for 29 yards. Darby spent the majority of the 2023 season on Atlanta’s practice squad and was activated for one game with the team.

Darby, a 26-year-old native of Jersey City, N.J., attended Arizona State University (2016-20), where he played in 40 games and recorded 67 receptions for 1,317 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also had one carry for 21 yards and one touchdown.

Hall (6’1″, 195 lbs) originally signed with the 49ers on February 12, 2024.
