Obituary for Janet (Rongstad) Krocheski

Krocheski, Janet (Rongstad) After a battle with cancer, Janet (Rongstad) Krocheski, 82, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2024, surrounded by family. Jan grew up in North Minneapolis, where she attended Ascension Catholic Elementary School and St Anthony of Padua High School. She retired in 2001 after serving the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis for nearly 30 years. Jan was a longtime resident of Burnsville and a charter member of Mary Mother of the Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reed and Marie Rongstad, sister Lois, daughter Mary, and Tom, her loving husband of 60 years. Jan is survived by daughters Terri (Jon) Hofer, Cathy (Chuck) Maloney, and Patrice (Glenn) Krocheski-Meyer and 8 grandchildren Nathan, Eric, Matthew, Grace, Olivia, Ava, Miriam, and Vivian. She will also be missed by loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Mass of Christian Burial at Mary, Mother of the Church, 3333 Cliff Road East, Burnsville at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13th with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights.
