Katie Ledecky wins medals in first Paris Olympic final

Katie Ledeckythe most decorated swimmer in Olympic history, finished third on Saturday (July 27) in the women’s 400-meter freestyle, her first final of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Ledecky’s official time was recorded at 4:00.86, behind the Australian Ariarne Titmus at 3:57.49 and Canada’s Summer McIntosh at 3:58.37 to win bronze. Titmus was 2.99 seconds shy of equaling the world record of 3:55.38 in the 400m freestyle, which she set at the 2023 World Swimming Championships.
