SC Police: Driver dies after collision on Aiken County road

A driver died in South Carolina on Saturday, the South Carolina Highway Patrol reported. The driver died after a crash on Wednesday.

A driver has died after a crash on Wednesday, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

A 1993 Buick sedan was traveling westbound on Robert M. Bell Parkway in Aiken County, less than a mile from the city of Aiken, said Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway. The Buick was attempting to turn left onto Trolley Line Road when it was struck by a 2005 Ford coupe traveling eastbound on the same road.

The driver of the Buick was taken by ambulance to Augusta University Hospital and died around 10 a.m. Saturday. The Aiken County coroner has not yet released the person’s identity.
