WATCH: Montgomery County house fire causes about $30,000 in damage

SILVER SPRING, Maryland.DC News Now) — Officials reported that a house fire in Montgomery County on Saturday caused about $30,000 in damage.

The Montgomery County Fire Department reported in a statement just before 9 a.m. that units had responded to a fire in the 2900 block of Beaverwood Lane, near Bel Pre Road.


A two-story single-family home caught fire. Firefighters said it started as an exterior fire before spreading and was likely electrical in nature.

As of Saturday afternoon, no injuries had been reported.
