Former K-State quarterback signs with Jets

NEW YORK (KSNT) – Former Kansas State quarterback Adrian Martinez is getting another chance in the NFL.

The former Wildcat signed with the New York Jets on Saturday morning. He most recently played for the Birmingham Stallions of the UFL, where he won the 2024 league MVP and the UFL Championship. While at Birmingham, he amassed 1,749 yards and 15 touchdowns, while his 528 rushing yards led the league.

Martinez signed with the Lions in 2023 after going undrafted, but ultimately ended up in the UFL.

He spent the final season of his collegiate career, 2022, at K-State after playing four seasons at Nebraska. During his time with the Wildcats, he accounted for 1,261 yards and six touchdowns through the air, and 627 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground.
