Beshear delivers speech at Iowa Democratic Party fundraiser

If he is chosen as Kamala Harris’ running mate, Gov. Andy Beshear said he looks forward to debating Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance.

“I would love the opportunity to debate him, just as I know the vice president would love to debate former President Trump,” Beshear said in an interview with the Des Moines Register before he was scheduled to speak at a fundraising event in Iowa on Saturday night.

Beshear is expected to speak to a sold-out crowd at the Iowa Democratic Party’s annual Liberty and Justice Celebration event in Des Moines.
