1 dead, 1 injured in Montgomery shooting

Montgomery police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another seriously injured.

Major Saba Coleman tells Action 8 News that around 12:46 p.m., officers and firefighters responded to the 2600 block of Jan Drive for a person who had been shot. Jan Drive is located near East South Blvd. and Troy Highway.

Upon arrival, they found 26-year-old Rayonta Fuller-Anderson of Montgomery, dead from a gunshot wound.

Officers also encountered an adult male victim with a life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
