Cambridge MA Road Closure – NBC Boston

On Saturday evening, a road in Cambridge, Massachusetts had to be closed for an unusual reason.

According to Cambridge police, a 30-foot boat slid off its trailer at the corner of Cambridge and Third Street around 7 p.m., causing an “unusual road closure.”

According to police, the driver was stopped at a traffic light. As he drove through the intersection at full speed, the safety chains broke and the boat slid onto the road.

According to police, there were no injuries.

It was not immediately clear when the road would reopen.
