Avelo Airlines expands reach to Cancun with new flights from Bradley International Airport starting in November

Avelo Airlines has announced a significant expansion with the launch of a new flight route from Bradley International Airport to the vibrant city of Cancun, Mexico. Beginning November 20, 2024, Avelo will operate flights every Wednesday and Saturday, underscoring the airline’s commitment to promoting travel through affordable and convenient options.

Located halfway between Hartford, Connecticut and Springfield, Massachusetts, Bradley International Airport is the second largest airport in New England. The Connecticut Airport Authority owns and operates this well-positioned airport, which provides easy travel for residents of the region.

In 2021, it was the 10th busiest airport in the world for international passengers, reflecting its popularity and rapid recovery from the pandemic. With Avelo’s new flights, the airport expects to further increase visitor numbers, which already exceeded 13 million in 2022, providing an efficient new route to explore the Riviera Maya.
