Spurs legend Manu Ginobili sends viral post about Kevin Durant

On Sunday morning, Kevin Durant led Team USA to a 110-84 victory over Serbia in their first game of the 2024 Olympic Games.

Durant had missed all five of the team’s practice games, but was still able to secure the win on Sunday (as a substitute).

The Phoenix Suns superstar scored 21 points on 8 of 8 shooting in the first half.

Via ESPN: “Kevin Durant has not scored 20 points on 100% from the field in any half of his NBA career, including the postseason.

He scored 21 points on 8-8 shooting off the bench in the first half against Serbia 😳”

Thousands of people took to social media to talk about the 2014 MVP.

One of the people who sent a message (via X) was San Antonio Spurs legend Manu Ginobili.

Ginobili’s post received more than 11,000 likes and 300,000 views within three hours.

Ginobili wrote: “KD should be illegal!! 🔥”

Ginobili also added: “21 points at halftime, 100% shooting (no free throws) in less than 9′. 🤯”

Durant is seeking his fourth gold medal, having already won three in 2012, 2016 and 2020.

He finished the game with 23 points and two rebounds, while making 8/9 of his field goals and 5/5 of his three-pointers in just 17 minutes of playing time.

In addition to Durant’s dominance, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James finished with 21 points, seven rebounds and nine assists while making 9 of 13 field goals and 1/3 of 3-pointers in 27 minutes.
