When we think of royal weddings, we think of grand, beautiful events that look like something out of a storybook. But not all royal weddings are created equal.

Some are grand affairs that are televised around the world, while others are modest ceremonies held in modest churches that do not end with a procession through the streets. Such was the case with the late Queen Elizabeth’s eldest granddaughter, Zara, who married rugby player Mike Tindall on 30 July 2011.

Instead of getting married in Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral or St. George’s Chapel, Princess Anne’s daughter didn’t even get married in England. She also didn’t receive the same wedding gift from the Queen that Kate and Meghan both received.
