Three dead after armed confrontation at White Hall Saturday

WHITE HALL, Ark. – White Hall police say three people have died after an armed confrontation Saturday afternoon.

According to detectives, officers responded to reports of a man who had barricaded himself in a home on Lakeview Drive after killing two others inside the home.


The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team arrived on scene and was able to make contact with him, but were unable to get him out.

Investigators said SWAT team members were able to enter the home around 6:45 p.m. after hearing a gunshot inside the home and determined that the two people who had been shot had died from their wounds. Police said the suspect was also found dead inside the home.

A coroner identified the victims as 52-year-old Patrice McDaniel and her 14-year-old daughter, who both died from gunshot wounds. It is also believed that 52-year-old Jason Rogers died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, all three individuals were taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for autopsies.

The investigation is still ongoing.
