Frankfort KY man Alfredo Delgado convicted of shooting Home Place Inn hotel clerk in Nicholasville in 2022

FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Frankfort man was sentenced Friday after shooting a hotel clerk in 2022.

According to court documents, Alfredo Delgado was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the Jessamine County shooting.

Authorities said Delgado shot a hotel clerk in the face at the Home Place Inn at U.S. 27 and North Main Street in Nicholasville in July 2022. She was rushed to the University of Kentucky Hospital and was expected to survive.

According to investigators, the hotel clerk was able to help police identify Delgado, then 29, as the shooter. He was wanted by police and considered armed and dangerous.

Nicholasville police reported he was found and arrested a day later in New York.

Court records show that a jury found Delgado guilty of first-degree assault in June.
