Lawrence County officer dies in motorcycle crash in Greene County

LAWRENCE COUNTY — The Lawrence County community is mourning the loss of a deputy sheriff.

Officer Brenton Trueblood was killed in a motorcycle accident in Greene County on Saturday night.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred on E. State Road 445, near I-69.

Trueblood was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

He was only 25 years old.

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
