Weather forecast for the coming week in Augusta County, Virginia

STAUNTON – According to the AccuWeather forecast for the coming week (July 29-August 4), we are in for another heat wave from Wednesday through Friday.

But first we’ll get some scattered showers and thunderstorms with a very humid start to the week on Monday. Tuesday has the highest chance of rain during the day at 90%, according to AccuWeather. The National Weather Service is more conservative, predicting a 60% chance of precipitation.

According to AccuWeather, temperatures will reach over 32 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, with a wind chill of almost 38 degrees Celsius. It will remain downright cold there through Friday.

Hopefully the Valley will start to see some cooler days in August as kids in Staunton, Augusta County and Waynesboro head back to school. Right now, it looks like it will be in the mid 80s for back to school week.
