Lainey Wilson Shares Teaser of Unreleased Song Featuring Miranda Lambert, “Good Horses”

A powerful duo.

Lainey Wilson is gearing up to release a new album Whirlwind in August, with a song called “Good Horses” that she co-wrote with her friend Miranda Lambert.

They previously previewed it during a live show when Lainey performed two nights in Nashville, and this past weekend she gave a sneak peek at what sounds like the unreleased studio version.

It’s layered over video of the live performance, but you can tell from the difference in sound quality that it’s a professional studio recording, as the ladies sing about their longing for a relationship where they can also be free, because “good horses come home”:

I don’t need a saddle

It has a unique yet catchy melody and Lainey says she “can’t wait” for fans to hear the full song on the new record:

“I can’t wait to share this with you.”

Whirlwind comes out everywhere next month on August 23rd and I think this is going to be a fan favorite and a quick hit if it ever hits country radio.

I mean, besides the fact that Lainey and Miranda are friends, it just makes sense for these two to work together given their similar backgrounds, country style, and fan base. I hope to see more of this in the future:

Miranda also just announced her 10th studio album Postcards from Texaswhich will be released everywhere from September 13.
