Another round of heavy rain and severe weather moved through most of the state Sunday night, in what will be just the first round of the week, the National Weather Service said.

Des Moines received about 0.55 inches of rain on Sunday. The capital was just south and west of the most severe weather, with storms triggering severe thunderstorms and tornado warnings in Boone, Story and Jasper Counties.

  • Marshalltown: 3.59 inches
  • Sioux City: 2.78 inches
  • Mount Pleasant: 2.03 inches
