West Hartford Firefighters Raise Money for Muscular Dystrophy Association – We-Ha

The West Hartford Firefighters Association is hosting events this summer in support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

West Hartford Firefighters Local 1241 has been a long-time supporter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and is hosting two charity events in the coming weeks to benefit MDA.

“The first is the Fill The Boot for MDA event that takes place at the intersection of New Britain Avenue and Ridgewood Road,” said Edward Dombroskas of the West Hartford Firefighters Association MDA Committee.

Fill The Boot will take place on August 10th from 10am to 4pm. “Come, join in and donate to a good cause,” Dombroskas said.

Also returning this August is the West Hartford Firefighters Association Beer Tasting. Now in its 12th year, the annual event will be held on Saturday, August 17 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. The location is 45 South Main Street – directly across from City Hall – with free parking in the City Hall parking lot.

Donations of $25 are requested and free beer samples are available to those 21 and older with valid ID. There will be live music and food for purchase.
