Texas Longhorns Ex Adonai Mitchell Makes Insane Catch at Colts Training Camp

Texas Longhorns Ex Adonai Mitchell is a two-time national champion with Georgia and the 52nd pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Although the new season has yet to begin, Mitchell has proven that the Indianapolis Colts made the right choice in bringing him into the team.

Mitchell will be a direct competitor to Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce, but Pierce is up for the challenge and only wants to see both players improve.

“High Tide lifts all ships,” Pierce said. “It’s all about the competitive spirit. So if you’re pushing each other, the better everyone around you is, the more everyone plays and the better the room becomes as a whole. It’s just a phenomenal thing for the room as a whole.”

During the Colts’ training camp on Sunday, the rookie made a stunning catch to show fans, teammates and staff that he is one of the top names in this class of wide receivers.

He is also actively learning from his experienced teammates in Indianapolis, particularly Michael Pittman, hoping to learn as much as possible before the start of the season.

“I just lean on the older guys,” Mitchell said after Thursday’s practice. “I’m a young guy coming into this, so there’s a lot of things I don’t know. There’s a lot of experiences I don’t have. So I lean more on guys like Pitt, just all the veterans. Anything I can learn from them, whether I ask a question about blocking. Whether I ask a question about anything. Just taking something away.”

Mitchell and the Colts open the season on September 8 against the Houston Texans in Indianapolis.
